The Lind Family Part One

Lyndsey and Dorian Lind goof around in front of their new home for awhile as they wait for the movers to set up their furniture. They don't have much, but it's enough to get them started on their new life.

Their home even comes complete with garage, though they certainly can't even consider buying a car right now! They barely have enough for the necessities.

Right away Dorian starts to "check out" the neighbors.

Lyndsey does something a bit more useful, reading the family cookbook. She wants to surprise Dorian with a nice supper later.

They both check out the want ads, hoping to find an opening in their preferred careers. Dorian gets lucky and finds an ad for Test Subject and he applies right away. Lyndsey isn't as lucky. She can't help but be glad for Dorian, however. Someone needs to pay the bills after all!

Neighbor Nina Follord asks Dorian if he and Lyndsey have done woohoo yet as they enjoy lunch meat sandwiches. He isn't quite sure if he should tell her the answer to that or not.

They take turns greeting anyone who happens to wander by the house and it isn't long before there's enough people to have a water balloon war!

Lyndsey's attempt to cook Dorian that special supper later that day didn't go so well. Luckily they had enough sense to install a fire alarm.

But Lyndsey really had her heart set on impressing Dorian so she was really upset that the dinner was ruined.

He was more than happy to make her forget all about it though!

Hesitantly Lyndsey attempts to make Spaghetti again.

Instead of thinking about the blazing inferno the last time she tried to do this, Lyndsey thinks of the wonderful time she had with Dorian afterwards.

Which apparently resulted in this!

Dorian had an awful day at work. Now he wishes he hadn't dismantled that experiment after all, but he's grateful that he wasn't fired at least. Lyndsey still hasn't even seen an opening in the culinary field thus far so he isn't willing to complain at her about it.

It seemed like only days later when Lyndsey went into labor.

She gave birth to a healthy little girl that they decided to name Yvette. She has beautiful red hair like her mother. The new parents can't wait to see who she looks like more as she grows up!

It seems to Dorian that Lyndsey sticks him with nappy duty more often than not, but he surprisingly finds that one look at his daughters cute little face makes him not mind the smell and mess too badly.

One day Lyndsey started getting migraine headaches. She told Dorian it was nothing to worry about when he questioned her about it, but she secretly worries that it might be a sign of something serious.

They soon forgot all about that when they realized that Yvette was having a birthday already! They marveled at how fast the year went.

Yvette definitely looks a good deal like her mother, but on the more athletic side. Dorian is convinced she'll be quite the tomboy when she gets a bit bigger!

Dorian was pretty surprised when Lyndsey mentioned wanting to try for a younger brother for Yvette. They hadn't planned on a big family since they both had career goals in mind. It didn't take more than a moment to decide that Lyndsey had the right idea, however!

Dorian has been so preoccupied with his wife and child that he has been doing mediocre at work at best. He's about always on the verge of being fired, but he finds his home life much more rewarding then he ever thought it possibly could be.

But with average to poor work performance, no promotions or bonuses come your way. With Lyndsey still unable to find a culinary job, Dorian has had to resort to digging for buried treasure to help make ends meet.

One of the neighborhood strays spots him and she stops to watch. She's seen plenty of dogs and wolves dig holes but never a person!
